My practice

I am proud to be a regulated Costs Lawyer.

I am responsible for the legal work undertaken by my practice. My business is a partnership. My wife is the administratrative partner.

My mission statement is to provide as good as service as any.

My values are attention to detail, hard work and above all else honesty and integrity.

  • Make in a court document or Legal Aid document claims that are an abuse of the process and are inarguable

  • Include fictional statements of time expenditure or ignore solicitors’ time records when preparing bills of costs or costs claims

  • Make false statements as to the qualifications of fee earners to claim higher rates than are payable

  • Misstate facts in court or other documents to mislead courts or other parties

  • Conduct litigation in areas of law that I am not qualified to conduct

What I do

I specialise in law costs where they are governed by the laws of England and Wales with particular emphasis on representing paying parties and solicitors undertaking Legal Aid work.

I seek to secure the best results for our client without compromising my responsibilities under the Legal Services Act. The results I achieve compare favourably with any other.

I can offer the following services:

  • Preparation of LSC case plans and claim forms

  • The conducting of costs litigation from start to finish

  • Preparation of points of dispute, replies to points of dispute etc

  • Advocacy in costs disputes

  • Representation in solicitor and client disputes.

  • Preparation of costs statements and estimates

 

(Please note I only take on very limited pro bono work, cannot offer Legal Aid to litigants and will not provide advice without a contract of retainer being in place).
